Center for Digital Business

Center for Digital Business (CDB) is a center for leading, exciting, and independent research on topics such as eBusiness Management, Entertainment Services, and Mobile Business. The research is conducted in cooperation with companies such as Avantra, Daydream Software, Paregos, Noblestar, and Telia ProSoft, and it aims at producing knowledge relevant for the associated companies as well as at contributing to the innovative capacity of the region as a whole.

CDB is a joint endeavor undertaken by the Department of Informatics at Umeå University, and Umeå School of Business and Economics. We are funded by the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation, Daydream Software, the European Union's Regional Development Fund, Municipality of Umeå, and Noblestar.

One of our main objectives is to be an active part of society. Therefore, we are interested in getting in touch with companies, other research groups, and students, who are interested in exploring the consequences of e-commerce and new Internet-technology for individuals, organizations, and society.
